Last weekend we were out with the camper and the dogs. That saturday we went to Markaryd and a rally obedience competition where Märta did a really good round with 89 points (out of 100).
The weather was beautiful last week and we went to visit Lotte and Jan, Valle and Nisse in Klippan. On the sunday we did an excursion to the national park of Söderåsen. Anna also came with Kafka and Ester so we had 8 dogs with us and got some attention from other hikers.
Kopparhatten, a nice viewpoint in the park:
On the monday our tour continued to Höör where Märta and I competed in rally obedience again. This time she got 96 points and came in second place!
Afterwards we went for a nice walk in the forest among the spring flowers:
Today was the third time Märta got good points in a rally obedience competition, with 94 points we came in 4th place. This also means that Märta has gotten her first title (RLD N) and will move up from the beginners level to the next level. We are on a roll 🙂
Where did the past few months go? I think we need a bit of an update here!
We’ve said goodbye to both Piaf and Hygge. Piaf is now called Licorice (Vallklanens Sweet Licorice) and lives in Germany with a breeder who also has bearded collies. We are really happy for that! Hygge travelled to Devon, England, where he is also doing well!
In the beginning the house felt very empty without the puppies, but now Edith makes sure to keep us occupied.
We have been to a couple of shows. One in Hannover, Germany and one in Gothenburg, Sweden. Our dogs have done well. Märta was 4th best bitch at MyDog in Gothenburg. She was also crufts qualified because she won the junior class.
The dogs have taken turns to come with me to work. Even Edith has come to say hello to the elderly who live at the nursing home.
Ester and Kafka are living with Anna most of the time. We have finally finished building the new dog yard, where the dogs can hang out when Anna goes to work.
It is not very far to the beach from Anna’s house, so the dogs get to go on a lot of beach walks.
This weekend we went to visit Elsa.
Pernilla helped us to take a few photos. It was easier said than done to get everybody to focus…
…but finally we got a few nice shots.
Today we are travelling home from Gotland. We have been here on a vacation for a week, ending with 2 dog shows in Visby. After the results from the show we really have reason to celebrate!
Kafka (Vallklanens Devon Showstopper) was BOS both days and became a swedish champion. He has CCs in Denmark and Norway since before so he is also a nordic champion now.
Elsa (Vallklanens Armadale Gal) was best of breed two days in a row and also became a swedish and danish champion. Yesterday she was 3rd in the group final and today she made the short list but wasn’t placed in the group final.
We are so proud of these two youngsters. They have just turned two years old and it feels like they have a bright future ahead.
Märta (Natterjack starshine) also had a great weekend. Yesterday she was best junior with an excellent. Today she was also best junior and became 3rd best bitch with a reserve CC. Anna-Lena Munkvall was juding, and said the following about Märta:
Feminine bitch. Lovely head and expression. Excellent pigment. Correct bite. Nice eyes. Well set ears. Well placed and angulated shoulder. Slightly sloping croup. Excellent ribcage. Moves well.

We also want to once again say congratulations to Hjördis (Vallklanens Devon Country Girl), Kafkas sister, who became a swedish and norwegian champion last weeken din Ransäter. She was also best of breed with 16 pulis competing. Well done Jenny and Hjördis!
On sunday we had a Vallklanen gathering in Ljungby. It was a lovely group of people and dogs that came and we got some time to BBQ, practice rally obedience and agility and just hang out and talk. 25 dogs were there with their owners. A big thank you to everyone who came!

Märta and Sally:
We hope that we will all meet soon again.
We have been to a couple of dog shows in Vänersborg. The first day was an all breed SKK dog show and the second day the Swedish bearded collie club specialty.
The shows were outside at a beautiful place. We got a really nice to stay right next to the water.
Elsa (Vallklanens Armadale Gal)
Engla (Vallklanens Lady Kinross):
Just a few days after this show Engla got a new rally obedience title from completing the advanced level. She can now compete at the master lever if she wishes to. Huge congratulations!
Märta (to the right) met her dad Lipton (middle) and grandmother Wendy (to the left).
Kafka (Vallklanens Devon showstopper) did really well. He was 2nd best male but got both CAC and Cacib.
Janne with Elsa and Märta:
The bearded collies did really well at the SKK show. Lipton won the group, a beardie was BIS-puppy, another BIS 2- veteran and finally Lärkängen won BIS- breeders group.
Congratulations to all!
On saturday night we just relaxed by the water with the dogs.
Märta being judged by Ulrica Olsson at the specialty.
Hebbe (Goonie’s Highlander Lad) progeny group:
We had a wonderful weekend.
This weekend the summer arrived in the south of Sweden and we got to enjoy sunshine and hot weather at our gathering in Ljungby. It is a yearly gathering of hungarian breeds, an initiative from a few members in the specialty club SvkFUR, and it is always a lot of fun! This year we got to try both agility and rally obedience, and of course there was a BBQ.
More than 20 pulis, a couple of pumis and of course a few bearded collies were there. We were happy to see Vera and Bea, two bitches from Vallklanen.
Vera with her owner Cajsa won the agility competition.
Kafka was second in the rally obedience competition:
Even if our bearded collies did not join the competition they also got to practice some obedience.
The dogs got to run free at the nice club in Ljungby.

When we got home the dogs went for a swim in the lake.
