Level up

Last weekend we were out with the camper and the dogs. That saturday we went to Markaryd and a rally obedience competition where Märta did a really good round with 89 points (out of 100).

The weather was beautiful last week and we went to visit Lotte and Jan, Valle and Nisse in Klippan. On the sunday we did an excursion to the national park of Söderåsen. Anna also came with Kafka and Ester so we had 8 dogs with us and got some attention from other hikers.

Kopparhatten, a nice viewpoint in the park:

On the monday our tour continued to Höör where Märta and I competed in rally obedience again. This time she got 96 points and came in second place!

Afterwards we went for a nice walk in the forest among the spring flowers:

Today was the third time Märta got good points in a rally obedience competition, with 94 points we came in 4th place. This also means that Märta has gotten her first title (RLD N) and will move up from the beginners level to the next level. We are on a roll 🙂

Congrats to the three year olds

A big congratulations to Dennis, Sigge, Imla, Bilbo, Lewis, Elsa, Totiki, Mållgan, Doris ,Bella and Edda who are turning 3 years old today!

We hope that you are all doing great. We have wonderful memories from this litter.

Elsa has “celebrated” her birthday by mating with a handsome boy. Now we are keeping our fingers crossed that we will have puppies at Vallklanen this summer ❤

Sally 10 years old

Today is Sally’s 10th birthday. She is a beautiful and wise bitch. She has followed me to work and brought a lot of joy to the elderly, she has made it all the way to the master level in rally obedience and she has also competed in the first and second level of traditional obedience. Throught the years she has gotten three litters of puppies and she is an international champion. We hope that we will get many more happy years with her. To us she is very special ❤

Where did the past few months go? I think we need a bit of an update here!

We’ve said goodbye to both Piaf and Hygge. Piaf is now called Licorice (Vallklanens Sweet Licorice) and lives in Germany with a breeder who also has bearded collies. We are really happy for that! Hygge travelled to Devon, England, where he is also doing well!

In the beginning the house felt very empty without the puppies, but now Edith makes sure to keep us occupied.

We have been to a couple of shows. One in Hannover, Germany and one in Gothenburg, Sweden. Our dogs have done well. Märta was 4th best bitch at MyDog in Gothenburg. She was also crufts qualified because she won the junior class.

The dogs have taken turns to come with me to work. Even Edith has come to say hello to the elderly who live at the nursing home.

Ester and Kafka are living with Anna most of the time. We have finally finished building the new dog yard, where the dogs can hang out when Anna goes to work.  screen-shot-2017-01-17-at-17-05-38

It is not very far to the beach from Anna’s house, so the dogs get to go on a lot of beach walks.screen-shot-2017-01-17-at-17-05-59 screen-shot-2017-01-17-at-17-05-02 15624401_1808158746099278_1017964771648995328_n-copy

Lovely colors

It’s been a lovely October with beautiful colors.

We are enjoying our time with the three puli puppies. Soon Edith will be the only one left. They boy is moving to England and the bitch to Germany. dsc_6369dsc_6364dsc_6381

Edith or Piaf

The puppies are 8 weeks old and three of them have now left to their new homes. We are sure that they will be well taken care of and loved!

Last week we took the puppies to the vet to get them checked, chipped and vaccinated. That went really well. We also took the group picture of the whole litter, a tradition at Vallklanen.

At home we still have three puppies: Edith, Hygge och Piaf. Hygge is the male that will move to England later this fall. We will keep a bitch. Will it be Edith or Piaf? Most likely Edith, because that has been the plan for the past couple of weeks…. but Piaf is so cute and funny and sweet. We love her more and more each day. Oh, if we could only keep all of the puppies!!

Edith posing:

If we would have been able to keep both Edith and Piaf we would, but that is not a good option. So now we are looking for a loving home for Piaf. If she gets to move to a show home that would be great, but it is not a requirement. The picture below was taken of Piaf when she was 5 weeks old, but it is Piaf in a nutshell. She is the little clown in the litter!

We’ve had a wonderful summer and fall. We have been able to spend a lot of time outside with the puppies.

Kafka is now 2 years and 2 months old.

A real handsome bigger brother to this litter of puppies. It took him a while to figure out that puppies are a lot of fun. This past week he has played with them quite a lot. Well well, Edith is staying…Or Piaf?! No Edith! Piaf?…

On sunday we had a Vallklanen gathering in Ljungby. It was a lovely group of people and dogs that came and we got some time to BBQ, practice rally obedience and agility and just hang out and talk. 25 dogs were there with their owners. A big thank you to everyone who came!

We hope that we will all meet soon again.

We have been to a couple of dog shows in Vänersborg. The first day was an all breed SKK dog show and the second day the Swedish bearded collie club specialty.

The shows were outside at a beautiful place. We got a really nice to stay right next to the water.

Just a few days after this show Engla got a new rally obedience title from completing the advanced level. She can now compete at the master lever if she wishes to. Huge congratulations!

The bearded collies did really well at the SKK show. Lipton won the group, a beardie was BIS-puppy, another BIS 2- veteran and finally Lärkängen won BIS- breeders group.

Congratulations to all!DSC_1786

On saturday night we just relaxed by the water with the dogs.  DSC_1799DSC_1816DSC_1817DSC_1831

We had a wonderful weekend.

This weekend we were in Lingen, Germany with Sally, Elsa and Kafka. Early morning before heading off we took this photo of Wilma on one of her favourite spots in the garden:

It was a really nice trip where we hung out with our friend Jesper. A surprise for us was that our show rings were outside. At first it went really well because the sun was out, but as the day passed it got more and more windy, and finally the rain and hail came.We were freezing cold.

Dispite the weather we had a great day with great results in the show. We also got to know some new friends.

Sally, 9 years old, was BOB-veteran and be came a German veteran champion.

DSC_0483 DSC_0495Elsa, not yet two years old, was BOB. Judge: Attila Czeglédi from Hungary.

Our puli Kafka, 21 months old, was BOS. Keeper (CH. Bubbleton Told you so) was BOB.

It was time for us to get inside and eat something warm before the finals.

Sally was not placed in best veteran. However, she had a great time. She was running well and was wagging her tale. She is so much fun to show.

Elsa mad the shortlist, but was not placed in group 1.

Keeper was BIG2. Congratulations Jesper!

We went to Germany with three dogs and came home with 3 CACs, 3 Cacib, 1 BOB, 1 BOS, 1 BOB-veteran and a new German veteran champion. Not bad at all!!!
